The highlight of their menu is unmistakably their English Breakfast offerings. For lovers of indulgence, the Cheese and Ham Panini melts to perfection, offering gooey, savory comfort in every warm bite.

For those who appreciate nibbles and small plates, the Mozzarella Sticks and Grilled Halloumi are especially popular, pairing wonderfully with a frothy cappuccino or a refreshing strawberry milkshake. Also worth mentioning are the expertly prepared chicken strips and nuggets, which satisfy cravings for familiar favourites with a home-cooked quality.

The customer experience here goes beyond just the food. Friendly, attentive staff are noted by regulars for their eagerness to help, creating a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. One visitor fondly remarked on the “attentive waitress” and how the “food turned up just what we needed—not greasy and cooked to perfection.” Another praised the restaurant’s clean amenities and small, inviting outdoor seating, perfect for casual coffee catch-ups or relaxing with a canine companion.

There is also a practical charm in how Cafe Riviera rewards loyalty: collect 8 stamps from paid meals or drinks and enjoy a free treat. This thoughtful gesture adds a layer of community spirit to the overall welcoming vibe of the venue.

The soft glow of string lights, rustic wooden tables, and the faint aroma of freshly brewed coffee created an inviting ambiance that instantly put me at ease. The menu was a delightful surprise, offering a perfect blend of classic comfort food and innovative dishes. I opted for their signature truffle mushroom risotto, and it was nothing short of divine—creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. The barista’s artistry shone through in my lavender latte, which was both visually stunning and perfectly balanced. The staff were incredibly attentive, striking that rare balance between friendly and professional, making me feel like a valued guest. What truly set this café apart was the live acoustic music playing softly in the background, adding a soulful touch to the evening. Every detail, from the handwritten specials board to the eco-friendly straws, showed a commitment to creating a unique experience.

One of my favourite cafes in Maidstone, always a decent plate of food for a decent price. Staff are always friendly and eager to help. Only criticism is I can never get the QR Code ordering to work so I always have to go to the counter, but no big deal. Food is always worth the short wait and consistently of the same standard each visit. Recommended.

Nice breakfast, I opted for a set breakfast of sausage, two rashers of bacon, chips, beans, toast and a fried egg along with a can of drink for £9.00. Some of the chips were a little overcooked/crunchy but the rest of the breakfast was nice. They operate a loyalty scheme of a free meal once you have collected 8 stamps from paid meals, they have the same offer regarding drinks too. They have customer toilets which were clean and in decent condition. If you found this review helpful please click on the heart icon, thanks.

I went yesterday morning to eat, I ordered and paid but unfortunately I had to leave. I came back the next morning to eat, I ordered what I wanted but the guy at the house didn't take my money, he told me that I paid yesterday. Very nice of him! Thank you
